Trade Associations and Coalitions

Associations both national and global work together to ensure the best technology and education is brought forward.  ACPA is proud to be working with these groups to ensure proper paving solutions are provided.

National Concrete Pavement Technology Center (CP Tech Center)

The CP Tech Center is a national hub for concrete pavement research and technology transfer. It continues to be instrumental in developing and helping to advance the nation’s strategic plan for concrete pavement research and education.

International Grinding and Grooving Association (IGGA)

The IGGA, a not for profit trade association, is the primary representative of the grooving, grinding and CPP/CPR industry. ACPA and IGGA have been affiliated since 1996, sharing resources to promote proper restoration and preservation of concrete pavements.
MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub (MIT CSHub)

The MIT CSHub, is a dedicated interdisciplinary team of researchers from MIT working on concrete and infrastructure science, engineering, and economics. The MIT CSHub brings together leaders from academia, industry, and government to develop breakthroughs using a holistic approach that achieves durable and sustainable solutions for infrastructure in ever more demanding environments.

Portland Cement Association (PCA)

The Portland Cement Association (PCA), founded in 1916, is the premier policy, research, education, and market intelligence organization serving America’s cement manufacturers. PCA members represent 91 percent of U.S. cement production capacity with facilities in all 50 states.
National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA)

Founded in 1930, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association is the leading industry advocate. Our mission is to provide exceptional value for our members by responsibly representing and serving the entire ready mixed concrete industry through leadership, promotion, education and partnering to ensure ready mixed concrete is the building material of choice.

American Concrete Institute (ACI)

The American Concrete Institute is a leading authority and resource with proven expertise for individuals and organizations throughout the world involved in concrete design, construction, and materials, and who share a commitment to pursuing the best use of concrete.

Airports Council International- North America (ACI-NA)

The ACI-NA is the voice of airports, representing local, regional and state governing bodies that own and operate commercial airports in the United States and Canada.

Beyond the Runway Coalition

The Beyond the Runway Coalition brings together a wide variety of industry stakeholders seeking to ensure that airports remain strong economic engines and job centers in their local communities.

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)

ASCE stands at the forefront of the civil engineering profession that plans, designs, constructs, and operates society’s economic and social engine – the built environment – while protecting and restoring the natural environment.
The Innovative Pavement Research Foundation (IPRF)

Owned by ACPA. the IPRF is a 501(c)(3) that provides a unified means of building resources, developing strategies, and implementing programs to address concrete pavement research, technology advancement and transfer, and education on portland cement concrete pavements for highways, streets, roads, and airports.
Transportation and Development Institute (T&DI)

T&DI is part of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).  This organization is focused on transportation/development professionals and the transportation/development industry.

Roller Compacted Concrete Pavement Council (RCCPC)

The RCCPC is an industry group supported through ACPA, which represents the interest of those involved with the construction of RCC Pavement. The Council is focused on education and research needed to establish the highest standards of industry paving protocol.
Road Profile User’s Group (RPUG)

The RPUG provides the information on road profiles, road roughness/smoothness, pavement surface textures/friction, tire-pavement noise, and safety-related topics. They connect end users, data collectors, vendors, construction and design engineers and researchers.
Expanded Shale, Clay, and Slate Institute (ESCSI)

ESCSI promotes the extensive use of ESCS lightweight aggregate. The institute works closely with other technical organizations, ACI, ASTM, etc. to maintain product quality, life-safety and professional integrity throughout the construction industry and related building code bodies.

Greenroads International

Greenroads International is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation which advances sustainability education and initiatives for transportation infrastructure.

European Concrete Paving Association (EUPAVE)

EUPAVE is a not-for-profit association focused on the use of concrete pavement in the European Union. Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, EUPAVE promotes all aspects of cement and concrete products for transport infrastructure and related areas including road safety, fuel consumption, congestion reduction and sustainable construction.
International Society for Concrete Pavements (ISCP)

The ISCP facilitates the advancement of knowledge/technology related to concrete pavements through education, technology transfer and research at an international level.

Founded in 1963, The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) is the world’s largest trade association that exclusively represents the interests of those involved with the design, construction, and preservation of concrete pavements.
