Don’t Miss the Final Summer ACPA/CP Tech Center Webinars
There’s still time to register for our upcoming webinars in the ACPA-CP Tech Center summer webinar series.
So far, close to 8,000 people have participated in our webinar program or viewed them online after the live event. Don’t miss the final two programs in our summer series!
Here’s a look at the one-hour webinars scheduled for August 18th and September 22.
Both programs begin at 1 p.m. (EDT) / Noon (CDT):
- August 18—Concrete Pavement Joint Design, Layout and Construction. Two industry experts, both with former DOT experience, share their insights, philosophies, and some important do’s and don’ts in the art and science of joint design for concrete pavements. They will specifically focus on the more difficult jointing challenges for ramps, intersections, and roundabouts. They also will offer perspectives on proper training, support, and assistance in their market areas. Presenters include Kevin McMullen, Wisconsin Concrete Pavement Association, and Bill Cuerdon, New York State Chapter.
- September 22—The topic for this webinar will be Resiliency/Resilient Pavement Systems. This webinar will explore how resilience relates to
pavements. The webinar will also describe how owners and contractors recover from disasters and the important role road design plays in recovery. The webinar will cover the need for resilient pavements; defining resilience, and improving pavement resilience. Our presenters are Jim Mack, Director – Infrastructure Market Development, CEMEX (and Past-Chairman, ACPA), and Dr. Tom Van Dam, Principal, NCE.
