An ACPA/CP Tech Center webinar scheduled for September 22 coincides with our social media campaign on the resilience of concrete pavements.

Here’s a description of the webinar, scheduled for September 22 at noon (Central).

• Resiliency/Resilient Pavement Systems.  This webinar will explore how resilience relates to pavements. The webinar will also describe how owners and contractors recover from disasters and the important role road design plays in recovery. The webinar will cover the need for resilient pavements; defining resilience, and improving pavement resilience. Our presenters are Jim Mack, Director – Infrastructure Market Development, CEMEX (and Past-Chairman, ACPA), and Dr. Tom Van Dam, Principal, NCE.

The next webinar in the series will be held on October 20, also at noon (Central).

• Concrete Roundabout Design & Construction. With the increasing popularity and use of roundabouts, which are used to keep traffic flowing and improve safety. The webinar will cover current best practices in concrete roundabout design and construction.

Close to 9,000 people have participated in our webinar program or viewed them online after the live event, so plans are underway to schedule additional events through the end of the year.
